There’s a reason Sadowsky basses end up on records you’ve heard a thousand times without ever knowing what was being played. They sit in a mix like they were born there: clean, punchy, and unapologetically present.
Roger Sadowsky started out as a repair and restoration specialist in New York, fixing instruments for players who couldn’t afford anything less than perfect. Over time, fixing turned into building, and as a result, the basses he and his team produce today are the product of decades of obsessive refinement. In fact, the onboard preamp alone has become an industry reference point.
We’re an authorised Sadowsky dealer in Europe, and our shop carries a rotating selection across the full lineup:
- Vintage 5-21 - The classic Sadowsky voice. Jazz-style growl with that signature preamp warmth.
- Modern 5-24 - Modern voicing, but with the same Sadowsky DNA running through it and a pretty cool shape.
- MetroLine - Built in Germany by Warwick under Sadowsky’s direct supervision. Essentially, the sweet spot between NYC specs and European precision.
- Metro Express - The entry point into real Sadowsky tone. However, don’t let the price fool you, these hold their own.
- Deluxe models - Upgraded woods, premium appointments, and above all, a few extra reasons to never put it down
- Will Lee Signature - Designed with the Late Show legend himself. To put it simply, versatile doesn’t begin to cover it.
On top of that, limited editions drop on a regular basis: these tend to move fast, so if you’re the type who refreshes the page twice a day, you’re our kind of person.
