Mayones Bass Guitars
Every Mayones starts as raw wood in Gdansk, Poland, and leaves as something that makes you reconsider every bass you have ever owned. There is no production line, just a team of luthiers who have been building by hand since 1982 and still treat every instrument like it is their first and their last.
The result looks like it should not be legal and plays like it was built for your exact hand, because in many ways it was. Bold finishes, exotic tonewoods, and a build quality that holds up under touring abuse as well as it does under studio scrutiny. This is boutique in the original sense of the word.

Where are Mayones basses made?
All of them in Gdansk, Poland, by hand. There is no cheaper import line and no overseas factory. Every Mayones, from the catalogue models to a full custom, comes out of the same workshop, which is exactly why the build quality is so consistent.
What makes a Mayones worth it?
Three things. The woodwork, exotic tops and tonewoods selected and matched by people who clearly enjoy their job. The playability, necks and fretwork that make fast, technical playing feel easy. And the voice, a modern, articulate clarity that records beautifully and cuts live. They are not cheap, and they are not trying to be.
Do Mayones come in 4, 5 and 6 string, fretted and fretless?
Yes to all of it. Four and five string are the core, six is available, and the Hadrien Feraud model comes fretless as well as fretted. If you want a specific configuration, a custom order is the answer.
Is there a short scale or mini Mayones bass?
Yes, the Cali Mini is Mayones' short-scale, and it plays far bigger than its size suggests. It is a custom-order item for us, so get in touch if you want one built.
