Xotic started in a garage in California's San Fernando Valley in 1996, building boutique effects before turning the same obsessive attention to basses. The result is J and P basses that nail the vintage voice, then quietly outbuild the originals.

We're an exclusive Xotic dealer in Europe, and we spec most of our stock as custom-shop pieces - which is why you'll usually find colours and configs you won't see anywhere else.

What makes Xotic basses different?
Xotic builds boutique J- and P-style basses in California with premium woods, Raw Vintage and Xotic pickups, and the Xotic onboard preamp with 3-band EQ. They keep the classic vintage voice but with tighter builds, PLEK setups and modern electronics.

What is the difference between the Xotic XJ and XP?
The XJ is the Jazz-style bass - slim neck, two single-coils, punchy and articulate. The XP is the Precision-style - that fat, classic thump. Both run the Xotic preamp and come in 4, 5 and 6 strings.

Are these custom-shop basses?
Most of our Xotic stock is ordered as custom-shop pieces in colours and specs you won't find on a shelf - Lake Placid Blue, Burgundy Mist, Black Cherry Metallic and more.

Do you ship Xotic basses across Europe and worldwide?
Yes. We're a European Xotic dealer based in Belgium and we ship worldwide. Buyers outside the EU are responsible for import costs.

Are the basses set up before shipping?
Every Xotic we sell is PLEK'd and given a full setup before it leaves the shop.
