Ned Steinberger's design, and the clever part is that the lock lives on the strap rather than on the instrument. Push the base through the existing strap hole, screw the release button down by hand, done, no tools. Pull the button up to release. Unscrew it and move it to another strap whenever you want. Gold to match gold hardware, which is the whole reason this finish exists.
