The D-Roc Custom is Dingwall's take on the classic offset shape, balanced so the neck stays where you put it. This five-string runs a khaya body in a gloss finish on a 5-piece maple neck with a wenge board, over a 37" to 34" Novax fanned-fret scale for a tight low B. Three passive FDV Alnico pickups go through a 4-position Quad-Tone selector, master volume and master tone. No preamp, no battery. Built in Canada.

About the name. The four Dingwalls in this batch take their finish names from "Les Marches de Redana", the tabletop RPG campaign I've been involved in for the last four years, now coming to a close. Gartok is a fierce goblin businessman who runs a clandestine casino in the Proteans' den in Orville. Over the years he has become a full member of the family, and we have long since lost count of the gold pieces left at his tables, in games that were very probably rigged. Worth every coin. Turquoise sliding into black seemed about right for a night at Gartok's that ends with empty pockets.
