The D-Roc Custom is Dingwall's take on the classic offset shape, balanced so the neck stays where you put it. This five-string runs a khaya body in a gloss finish on a 5-piece maple neck with a wenge board, over a 37" to 34" Novax fanned-fret scale for a tight low B. Three passive FDV Alnico pickups go through a 4-position Quad-Tone selector, master volume and master tone. No preamp, no battery. Built in Canada.

About the name. The four Dingwalls in this batch take their finish names from "Les Marches de Redana", the tabletop RPG campaign I've been involved in for the last four years, now coming to a close. Magdar Kellen was a member of a death cult devoted to the god of assassination. Sent to an abandoned city in the Ash Marshes to recover a relic of the Avatar of Death, he was killed there himself, then raised as a zombie by the monster prowling the ruins. Our party killed him a second time. Blue fading into a sickly green seemed about right for a man who had to die twice.
